Hello, new to Steel Fury/STA... where do I start?

Post by Jamrom2 on Sat Jun 24, 2017 8:12 pm

Hi, long time Panzer Elite PPX-2/Ostpak user since the early days.

I'd like to move into a more modern Tank sim that offers similar depth and action... not concerned about graphics.

I've been a long time member of the Over Flanders Fields mod team, and a modder for Red Baron 3D, so I'm very familiar with what it takes to get some of these thing rolling and on track.

So where do I start? Is there a general Readme that has what I need and some basic load to make the game look as good as it does in the videos?

    Looking forward to the fun

    Tanks A lot!

Welcome to the forum Jamrom2. Compared to PE /PPX Steel Fury doe s not have the same tactical depth so manage your expectations in that regard. However SF will offer you as many armoured vehicles to use and a couple of AT guns are also playable. SF, being 8 years younger, offers better graphics, physics and special effects for a more immersive experience ( my opinion not the word of God) although Daskal has made headways with his tremendous/fantastic Ostpak Redux update mod. As well, thanks to Lockie and his merry band of new models, maps/missions creators the game is constantly updated.

Steel Fury Add-On 1.2 is free an da good way to start as it offers a good variety of missions, mods and maps
