lockie... could u test out the mod Simple effects?

Yes, I'll run some "Destroy the Fatherland (T-34/85)" mission tests with a regular SF STA setup against a game setup with the "Simple Effects Mod" added. Smile

Was using that same mission for some testing already, so it will be interesting to see any changes.  At the end of the mission I had a frame rate in between 7 - 10 FPS in the earlier game setup.

I see there is only one CPU, which may hold this mission. It is i5 4690  Cool

My computer's CPU is a AMD 6 core and it does what I want it to do. Smile

The Destroy the Fatherland video clip really shows off the new T-34/85 cockpit well. cheers

Have finished running some tests of the "Simple Effects mod" using the "Destroy the Fatherland" by lockie mission, to see if there is a frame rate increase while using the Simple Effects mod.

In these test I did not use the "Grass Distance Tweek/16:9 Mod V2" and had only a regular SF STA 3.2 setup.

Here are the two game JSGME setup's.

In conclusion of these tests, it seems that the game dropped a few FPS while using the Simple Effects mod. Shocked

The first test does not use the Simple Effects mod and here are the screens with frame rates.

At the beginning of the Destroy the Fatherland mission the frame rate is 27.87 FPS and is finally at 12.38 FPS at the finish of the mission.

The second test are made while installing the Simple Effects mod into the SF STA 3.2 game setup.

And the start of the mission the frame rate is 27.03 FPS and at the final completion of the mission the frame rate is at 10.12 FPS.

    Thanks for testing!
The conclusions are very strange and unexpected puzzled  Scared
I may say that at my rig a simple effect give me ~+5fps. will73 has the same result also.
We need another test from the third part.

This was not the test findings I expected to find either? Shocked

Have been working on a video clip to show the frame rate through a mission though. And put together a short video clip that used screenshots taken in the start of the Destroy the Fatherland mission.

Although it is not the action filled flick like a Schwarzenegger & Stallone movie, was trying to show the frame rate progression during the mission. And it would have been better if it was a video clip, but I have not learned those steps yet. Embarassed

Must add...  please watch at your own peril. LoL affraid

I've expected to see that fps became better alien
Did u spot that blows and smoke became worse? Coz "simple effect" has less polygons, that's why fps should be increased.

Yes, you can definitely see that the smoke trails in the screenshot while using the "simple effect" has less polygons than in the screenshot with the regular game setup.

Also, I had shutdown all the programs that was possible on my computer while running these test. So again, I would expect better FPS with the "Simple Effects mod" added, than to see that the regular STA SF 3.2 game with slightly higher FPS?  Neutral

    Regular game setup.

    Simple Effect game setup.
