    A couple of visual issues that I have

    Post by terminal on Sat May 20, 2017 8:06 am

    Hey guys! First of all: Cheers for the mod! Thank you for making this possible!

    I'm trying to have everything set up and running as best as it can atm, and i've been running into a few issues:

    First there is this weird aura around the tank. Looks like some SSAO or shader issue perhaps?

    then there is this weird effect of how to put it...um... "dirtt on the lense"? it makes everything look grainy.

    I'm running Win 10 with 3440x1440 resolution and an Nvidia video card. Some elements of the interface are cut off aswell, but I guess the game just doesent support ultrawide resolutions.

    Any ideas as to why those effects happen?

    This is because of the glitch with AA of the video driver.
    Try this newest mod "v.6.7_aspect_16-9_STA3.x" with aspect 16:9. It should help. Just install instead the old one then play.

    Don't change the first time anything.

    It's true, but we've a new mod supports aspect 21:9. It's under testing now. Will be available via donation.

    I'm sure, this is because of the mod "Another battle Effect". This mod doesn't compatible with STA3.1. Unplug it and have a look.

    Thanks! this managed to resolve the aura and the crashes applause   the image is a bit stretched but i guess thats the monitor at fault.

    I'm also having the aura issue, but my monitor is 1440x900, or 16:10 - what can I do to resolve this? Very Happy

    I forced anti aliasing off in the nvidia control panel to get rid of the halo.

    If you want AA without the undesirable effect open your config file. For example:
    F:\STEEL FURY STA 3.0\data\k42\loc_rus\config

    Open the config file with notepad and go to :

    /îïèñàíèå è êîíôèãóðàöèÿ âèäåîàäàïòåðà
    i_render:render()
    {
    //àäàïòåð
    adapter = 0;
    //ðàçðåøåíèå, ÷àñòîòà, ðåæèì
    bb_wid = 1920;
    bb_hei = 1080;
    bb_freq = 60;
    bb_fmt = 22;
    //ðåæèì áóôåðà ãëóáèíû
    depth_buffer = 75;
    //îáðàáîòêà âåðøèí
    vertex_processing = 1;
    //ãàììà (0.0 - inf def 1.0)
    gamma = 1.000000;
    //ÿðêîñòü (-1.0:1.0 def 0.0)
    bright = 0.500000;
    //êîíòðàñò(0.0:1.0 def 1.0)
    contrast = 1.000000;
    //àíòèàëèàñèíã (òèï, êà÷åñòâî)
    aa_type = 2;
    aa_qual = 1;
    //óðîâåíü àíèçîòðîïèè
    aniso = 1.000000;
    //ïðîïîðöèè ýêðàíà (4/3, 16/9, 16/1, 5/4)
    aspect = 0.000000;
    //îêîííûé ðåæèì
    windowed = 1;

    Enter values similar to mine .AA type = 2 AA quality= 1 or 2. Up tp you. You can also use Sweet FX in Steel Fury. It gives very nice results.
