These units are more suitable for the strategy game, ie Operation Star. It has area 10x10km cyclops

I love Kurt's groupings. Why not adopt some for STA 3.1? Especially for the Soviets we need larger units of 6 T34s + 3 JS2. For the Germans larger Panther and PZIV units. We have 5 Tigers 1 & 2 with apcs and infantry but only a max of 4 Panthers? Especially since it's claimed that the AI is now better with the new mod.

    OK, why not.
    1. 6xT34s + 3x JS2
Just need to be more specific. What is T-34 and JS-2 type?
I think would be better, if u create this unit the I'll include it.
I've to note there is unit 7xPz.V "A". I've made it for the mission, but sooner I had to refuse. There is no any use of such unit. No any tanks obey to the user's commands during battle. U just lost a control and it's not interesting anymore. The maximum quantity is (according to my expirience): 3x Pz.V + infantry platoon.

Yeah, and it takes a fast computer to play it without slowing down. I have a tone of new unit designations, and these were some of the more "exotic". rabbit

I have so far only worked on the German side. It took me months to get it back compatible with STA 1.0 as I had changed most of the unit names. Embarassed  To tackle the Russian side will take a little time. tongue

The only mission I've found so far that doesn't work is cm_werm_1 Peschanoe - German Army, Fridericus 1, but I have not tested it for every mission, just random ones.

There are a lot of new units that I added. Here is my work so far:

There are a lot of new units in my files, and I know they don't stay with you for long, but most eventually catch up to you and stay in the general vicinity of your lead tank. What I don't like is they surge forward into battle and are easily knocked out.....so annoying. The most annoying by far are the smaller vehicles like the apc's which go right into the teeth of battle at fast speed and get hit almost immediately, even if you limit their speed in the ME.

I think you'll like the new list. It is a work-in-progress as I can't guarantee it will work in all missions. Let me know and I will do another complete stripdown of common_units and STA_units. cheers

And, of course, you will need the new striped Jagdtiger:

Thanks, I hope it is all compatible with STA. Embarassed

As you may remember, some time ago I had completely changed the common_units and STA_units files because I thought it was such a mess and confusing, but after I made my own list, nothing worked with the existing missions, so I went back and basically started over. This group is the result of that. Again, hopefully it works!
