    Game Mission Pack (GMP) Text Lines

    Post by dwain7 on Fri Apr 15, 2016 3:35 pm

    I should correct the original post below...AMT 1.47 is a typo. Should be GMP 1.47. Second, the .engcfg file I am editing is the one found at "Kharkov 1942/data/k42/loc_rus/levels/LEVELS/camp/" The actual file itself is camp_list.engcfg. I ahve noticed that many mission mod downloads include the required text entries in their documentation. Perhaps I just missed it, but I did not see anything like this in the GMP 1.47 documentation. Have not yet downloaded GMP 2 or 3.

    Hello, I am brand new to Steel Fury.  My current installation is effectively modded with STA 1.0 and GMP 1.47 and the recommended sound mod.  To get AMT 1.47 to appear as selectable in the Campaigns and Missions menu, I created a text line in .../.../Levels/LEVELS/camp.engcfg that works, but I never did find the precise text line in GMP 1.47's documentation.  Now I want to add GMP 2 & 3, and would like to know if there is a resource that provides the precise text entry for the camp.engcfg file to make the missions selectable.  What I did for GMP 1.47 works, but I was just guessing at the "true/false" term (used true) and the img= term (used img=single).

    Thanks in advance for any advice anyone might offer.

    No, just a standard install of STA 1.0 and the game pack. Everything loaded normally, activated all the required mods using JSGME and booted the game up. GPM 1.47 did not appear in the Campaigns and Missions menu. From searching around on the internet I learned of the need for a text line in the camp_list.engcfg file, but there was no entry there for GMP 1.47 (or any of its iterations). Using the other entries for other missions I made one up, and it worked. The GPM 1.47 missions now appear in the menu are are selectable, and I've run a couple of them. I just do not know that my text entry was correct and that it will not cause a downstream problem. I have found in the forum similar entry examples for GPM 2 and 3, and assume the correct entry for GMP 1 would be quite similar. Was activating the mod using JSGME supposed to automatically create the text entry? If so, it did not. Correctly created everything else, though.

    Thank you,

    It is either installation error or bug of STA1.0.
    So far, there were no any complains abt. bug with GMP1.47 enabled. But to be sure I need to see installation order.
    Place here the content of the next file:
    ...\Steel Fury - Kharkov 1942\MODS\JSGME.ini
    It should look similar to this one:
    [DEPENDANCIES]
    SSM 2.5="v05_No_default_music_v.1.4"
    STA3.0="STA3.0_test1"
    [MODS]
    Polygons_v1.0=1
    SSM 2.5=2
    STA3.0=3
    v05_No_default_music_v.1.4=4
    v04_Hardcore_target_v1.2=5
    STA3.0_test1=6

    Nope. JSGME just enable/disable new files.

    Here is the content of the JSGME.ini file:

    Compass_mod.v02=1
    Unofficial_patch_SF_v0.1_eng=2
    SSM 2.3=3
    STA 1.0 full=4
    SepUpd_2015=5
    STA_GMP_1.47=6
    STA_GMP_2.37=7
    STA_GMP_3.32=8
    [FORM SIZE]
    Main Height=300
    Main Left=333
    Main Top=335
    Main Width=528
    Main WindowState=0
    [DEPENDANCIES]

    I do have the following text lines in the camp_list.engcfg file:

    //Game Mission Pack 1.0 compiled by lockie
    camp\gmp_10.engcfg, mission_pack10, txt_mission_pack_10, false, img_user3
    //Game Mission Pack 2.0 compiled by lockie
    camp\gmp_20.engcfg, mission_pack20, txt_mission_pack_20, false, img_user6
    //Game Mission Pack 3.0 compiled by lockie
    camp\gmp_30.engcfg, mission_pack30, txt_mission_pack_30, false, img_user9

    Only mission pack 10 (GMP 1.47 appears in the campaigns & missions selection menu. I can comment out (//) any two of the three lines above and the desired mission pack will appear as selectable. Just not all three at the same time.

    It's not correct!
    U should have followed EXACTLY as it had indicated in the installation order.
    http://stasf2008.ephpbb.com/t6-steel-tank-add-on-steel-fury
    02. 4Gb patch. It is ONLY for Windows 7,8,10 owners. See also.
    03. Aspect 16:9. It is ONLY for wide-screen monitor(16:9) owners.
    1. SSM 2.3 (Steel Sound Mod)
    2. STA 1.0
    3. GMP1.x (optional)
    4. GMP2.x (optional)
    5. GMP3.x (optional)
    6. SepUpd_2015
    7. Any Weather Mod (optional)

    Compass_mod and Unofficial_patch_SF_v0.1_eng they are a long time ago included into STA1.0.
    Suppose, u've version from Amazon?

    I do have the 4GB patch installed, patched both of the execs as instructed in the STA forum. I do not need the Aspect 16:9 mod.

    OK, I think I see what is wrong. I need to have the SepUpd_2015 mod activated after the three game packs are activated. Also, you are saying that I do not need the Compass_mod or the Unofficial_patch_SF_v0.1_eng mod...Is that correct? If so, then I should use JSGME to deactivate both of them after deactivating everything on top of them and then reactivating from SSM 2.3 and the rest in your specified order. Is this correct? Or, should I start with a fresh install altogether?

    I should have mentioned that I am running Windows 7 64 bit 3.40 GHz quad core I7, 12 Gb RAM, with high specification video and sound card. No lack of processing capacity.

    Dwain7;

    You don't need a fresh installation, just deactivate the mods in order. Remove those you don't need and re-activate those you do.
