Hello gurus of SF !! I evidently asking silly questions,i understand nothing in these scripts programs and so on...Can you tell how to make copy of the mission and insert it in User missions section? I could do this but forgot how i did that

I'm not totally sure if it's best to (i) use the mission creator utility to create the set of basic mission files with the required map and then cut & paste in the content from the mission to be cloned or modified; or (ii) just copy all the basic files.

    Doing it the latter way:

    1. Make a duplicate copy of the chosen mission's .level file, in data/loc_rus/levels/LEVELS/[campaign folder] and put this copy in data/loc_rus/levels/LEVELS/cm_users.

    2. Rename the .level file you just copied into the cm_users folder, with a suitable short name for your new mission.

    3. Locate the [mission_name]_loc.data.text, [mission_name]_scripts.engscr and [mission_name]_zones.engcfg files for the mission you have chosen. Copy and paste these into data/loc_rus/levels/LEVELS/SCRIPTS/cm_users.

    4. Rename these three files, using the same name you gave the .level file in Step 2.

    5. Open the .level file and change the paths and filenames of the loc_data, scripts and zones files, to point to the files you ended up with in Step 4.

I think that's about the gist of it, but others can correct me.

Don't forget to add a line in the user_camp-encfg file in the camp folder so your missions appear in the user-made mission menu and don't crash....
