The period of testing STA2.2 is about to be finished. In March this version will be updated to STA2.3 and become available via donation. For those who already donated the password will be the same as for STA2.2 updates. Hurry up for free d/l Wink

    PS
STA2.3 version will be for those who wants to donate, coz Japan mod JCM will be available for free d/l with almost all features presented in STA2.3.

Thanks lockie. You're not saying donating for 2.2 means 2.3 is free? 2.3 requires an additional donation for the content. True? btw, you mention "Hurry up for free d\l", what free d/l.

    Hi, Lightning62
The torrent link was replaced on the direct one due to many claims that torrent file is not comfortable. But now direct link is limited for d/l. Check out PM.

    BTW
U may also try mod JCM, which is based on the STA2.2 and has more vehicles and missions.

I'm sure not. There is no compatibility yet. STA3.1 is alpha mod which needs more adjustments.

A quick fix v1.1 March 2017 was added, coz some minor bugs appeared:
    - fixed destroyable object "Square town"
    - increased effect RPzman

Updated cheat mod "All missions opened" v01.2

Does anyone know if I will want/need the widescreen fix if I'm using 21:9 1440p?

The reason I wonder is because it's for 16:9 1080p, and I have read that the tops/bottoms of menus and such get chopped. So even if I don't get the full width resolution, having more vertical pixels might mean I don't even need the fix? If nothing else, I'll try this out both ways and report back...

I may say that works to implement fix 21:9 were started more than three months ago. I hope this fix will be ready in April 2017, but it'll be available only via donation(coz ALL gunsight reticles were MANUALLY re-designed to fit aspect 21:9! Will73 made INCREDIBLE work!) and free for TSF members. I think Txema may clear up more the situation with this fix Wink

    That's great news!

I'm not sure from my initial testing whether I'm better off not using the 16:9 fix then. I can't seem to force any fixed-aspect resolution. I have my display set to 1:1 and to override any software resolutions. Yet I cannot get Steel Fury to display anything other than 3440x1440. I've tried 2560x1440 and 1920x1080 just to see if I could get it to look "right" even if smaller, etc. But I can't get anything to change. In the options screen, it suggests the third number is color depth, but I'm used to that being bit depth, such as 16 or 32, but these numbers look more like refresh rates, like 60, 85, 100, etc. Either way, I've tried a few of those as well. I can't seem to get anything other than full-screen (stretched?). When I look at the clock on the M4 driver position, it's a bit oblong, and all the still screens look stretched. However, the HUD appears to show precise circles (upper right corner) so I'm not sure if I'm seeing a correct aspect or not.

EDIT: Okay, I found the option about not using desktop resolution. Now I can select 2560x1440 and it works - centers on the screen with black bars on each side. I didn't see that option because I'm getting the error box about video card not having enough VRAM etc....I could see it, but I didn't notice it because that box covers up most of the page so I moved on. I wonder what else it's covering up...?

Hopefully I can solve that issue, to. But it's already better!

I can't seem to get rid of that "Troubleshooting" box covering up most of the main options screen. I can see the Realism and Difficulty sliders, and the "Use Desktop Resolution" (unchecked) and "No Video Mode Restrictions" (checked) boxes. Not sure what else there is on that page. I follwed the FAQ and have installed the game on a non-C drive. I went to the resolution section of the config file, but they were already set correctly for now to 2560x1440. So I don't see anything else I can do to get rid of the box.

    Am I missing a step?

EDIT: I see now from other posts that this cannot be fixed at the moment. I like Txema's suggestion to just change the error message text, etc. Though I can't help but to wonder what options are hiding behind that box!

If I remember correctly, if you press the "System" button then the options come up to the first plane, and you can see them and select/unselect them. Please, check it !
