Damn AI - I've had multiple hits on 251/9 and 'Kanonwagen" - big fireball plume, sometimes spins them around, burning crewman running - and the thing begins hopping around again  - 9 lives. One ping and I'm "Mortally wounded" - SOL.  I look forward to fighting on w/ whatever crew is left.  Very Happy
In the beginning, wasn't there an ability to "Replace" crew member using Cntl F1/F2 etc?  Seems there was a time penalty.

Check the Kanonenwagen 's armour strength in the tech_cfg file. It's probably set to 2080 or 2100.Just decrease it to 2040 and it will be less resilient.

I think it's time to change the main background image during game starting.

It is the final Upd for the STA2.1. Furthermore, STA2.x won't be supported anymore, coz now we're workin' on STA3.0, which is far away better than STA1.0/2.0 together combined.
Now I know why Graviteam made so complicate system of the  files packing Smile
There is only one question - why devs didn't explain that this method(files packing) provide good fps?

Will STA2.1 will be released to public very soon?

I hope so, but I've to confess that STA2.x still has the status beta Sad
There are too many bugs with a new objects - buildings. They don't effect the gameplay, they are just candies, but sometimes, ie 2 times from 10 I got CTD during Campaign "Fury".
To say the true, there is no a big diff. between STA1.0 and STA2.x. The last one has more bugs and more missions. There are no any new tanks added.
I wish I had a new side Japan, but it is too far from the finish. (Hope Jappan Community will help us with a new tanks).
So, to summarize: STA2.1 it is just an intermediate step to STA3.0.
Where STA3.0 will be great improvement for the last three years! (Or at least, I think so Smile
Stay tuned, guys. Cavalry is on the way!

frinik wrote:What does the April update include?
    There is nothing special:
    1. added texture to "Watertower"
    2. ?object "dragon teeth" became destroyable

Unfortunately, I failed with "dragon teeth" destroyable. So, all concrete barrages will be undestroyable. There is only one minor fix - enable texture for the object "Watertower" (Campaign "Fury"). That's all.

It was my impression that between 1.0 and 2.0 the Cromwell, and several variants of the Sherman were added to SF? Unless for 1.0 you include all the updates that came in between as part of it?

Formally, yes they are supposed to be "new", but I hardly can recognize the difference between them Smile
Default T-34/76 has THREE modifications! I'm playing this game from the very begging (~8years) and still don't understand what the T-34 modification do I have in any episode.
As my point a couple new rivets doesn't make the "new" tank.
    I'd call the new tanks like: Firefly, Pz.35(t), M3 Lee, T-34/85, Pz.IIIN, Pz.IVH, M4A3/76, JS-3, Puma etc.
All mentioned units already presented in STA1.0 and where are the new missions?
I'm a casual player, it does I'm not expert like will73, 33lima, Pointer.
SF for me is a game, to get a fun, to shoot the bricks  Cool
But definitely SF is not a deal for me to calculate rivets presented on the armor.
I'm sure many users also likes SF, because it's a game and it is not a tank museum.
At this moment I'm trying to implement T-34(STZ) into STA3.0.
And I'm near madness, coz I can't recognize what the type of tank presented in the ME. As it appeared there are THREE types of the T-34/76 (STZ). I think only will73 may identify what the diff. between T-34(STZ) autumn 1941 and spring 1942 Rolling Eyes
To give a life to these "new" tanks me and Frinik are working with a new missions, which will be included in Campaign "Orel".

frinik wrote:It was my impression that between 1.0 and 2.0 the Cromwell, and several variants of the Sherman were added to SF?
All Sherman's modifications are looks for me the same and already are available:
    http://wikiwiki.jp/pzfr/?Steel%20Tank%20Add-on
Did Cromwell miss in STA1.0? I remember I had to put this tank in the game because of the Wittmann' mission.
U may read report by 33lima.

    http://stasf2008.ephpbb.com/t425-mission-report-last-nazi-chance

    BTW
There are no ANY new missions for the Cromwell yet , inspite this tank was presented more than half an year ago.

So could you add them to STA 1.0 ?

In particular T-34 M40 is significantly different version (different main gun: L11 instead of F34). Also a big and strong barrel-oriented lamp is interesting option for night missions.

Yes, I do remember this model thanks to this "big searchlight" Laughing
STA1.0 won't be changed. It is a stable version and I'd call it as a standard for making new missions/campaigns.

    PS
A couple screens from STA3.0 alpha.

It is new version SSM 2.41. As it appeared old SSM sometimes caused CTD, now it works more stable.
    1. Uninstall old SSM2.x and delete also the folder:
    ...Steel Fury - Kharkov 1942\data\k42\loc_rus\sounds
    2. Install SSM2.41

See first page to d/l SSM2.41.

    PS
    Long waited Pz.IIIL!

Need to make out a mission for this tank. Suppose, desert mod would be OK.

I regret to say that in my opinion the Panther  all versions is sexier... I have very good taste when it comes to both women and tanks and .... women who wear tank tops. Wink

Швидкість скачки по торренту чомусь дуже маленька, щоб завантажити STA 2,2 потрібно 3 тижні.

    Hi Lockie !

First of all, thank you very much for your quick fix !!

I have tried it briefly prior to going out of home, but the additional box is still present at the bottom of the screen... It seems that the fix is not working properly...

I will check it again when I am back home at night :-)

Thanks again for all your help to fix this !!
