    CTD in middle of mission

    Mission:
    Baranovicy Airfield, from Barbarossa Campaign (second mission from the bottom)

    Bug Description:
    Mission would load normally, then crash 5 seconds after you start it (click "Return to Mission" from map) with the message:
    Exception core:
    001: Error initialization program.

    I am using 4GB Patch and my virtual memory is set at 5626.

    Solution:
    If I disabled JulUpd_2015 and FebUpd_2015, the mission runs without a problem. But I notice the message window on the top is blank. If I check it in the map, it shows "???". I also notice that the crash (before I use this solution to fix it) occurred just at the moment the message comes up.

    Could it be a problem with the two Updates? Or is there a language problem with the mission itself?

    You may be missing the text file or the required line in the Barbarossa campaign Camp folder. Check it.

    I looked under the two folders:
    Steel Fury\data\k42\loc_rus\levels\LEVELS\cm_bar
    Steel Fury\data\k42\loc_rus\levels\LEVELS\SCRIPTS\cm_bar

    The files are all there.

    I looked under the MOD folder. Barbarossa was introduced in STA 1.0 and modified by FebUpd_2015. I deleted what changes FebUpd_2015 made to that campaign, then apply FebUpd_2015 and JulUpd_2015. The mission runs fine now.

    Whatever crashed the mission must be one of these files:
    FebUpd_2015\data\k42\loc_rus\levels\LEVELS\cm_bar\Rds10.level
    FebUpd_2015\data\k42\loc_rus\levels\LEVELS\SCRIPTS\cm_bar\Rds10_loc_data.text
    FebUpd_2015\data\k42\loc_rus\levels\LEVELS\SCRIPTS\cm_bar\Rds10_scripts.engscr
    FebUpd_2015\data\k42\loc_rus\levels\LEVELS\SCRIPTS\cm_bar\Rds10_zones.engcfg

    Strange, because they are all related to Mission 10, not 9, the mission that crashed. Any idea what went wrong?

    Check into the env folder of the mission pack to make sure Rends ' made map for that mission is present.

    Remove "//" before txt_cit_bar()

    That corrects the "???" during mission load screen. But I was refering to the "???" you see at the right of the map screen. The mission update.

    I looked and \envs\Rends10Rends10.polypack is where it should be.

    I have isolated the problem to this file: \data\k42\loc_rus\levels\LEVELS\SCRIPTS\cm_bar\Rds10_scripts.engscr
    If I remove it from FebUpd_2015 before enabling FebUpd_2015, the airfield mission runs without problem. I even completed it just to be sure.

    I've found what have caused CTD.
    It is entry:

    Contour was missed. So, now it should work.
    Here's quick fix. Install the last in line.
    Installation:
    1. Steel Sound Mod 1.0 (SSM)
    2. STA 1.0
    3. GMP1.x (optional)
    4. GMP2.x (optional)
    5. GMP3.x (optional)
    6. FebUpd_2015
    7. JulUpd_2015
    8. v01_fix_Jul2015
    9. Any Weather Mod (optional)

    If it works, then it'll be included in the next upd.

    Problem solved, mission runs fine. Even the mission update shows up properly now. Bad news is I didn't complete the mission (tried twice). Good news is I think they are harder now. Will keep trying. Thank you for the hard work!
