    Too bad it doesn't work on Pz.III. In the video by Luftangreifer, I saw him opening then closing a hatch on a Pz.III from the gunner's position, and I wanted that. Right now all I see is a corner of the hatch. Wonder what mod he's using, it's got a larger FOV inside the cockpit. Starts at 2:00:

    Happy that your problems are solved Technopiper. You have to live up to your name.... Wink
    Thanks to you and lockie. As for the name, I play electronic bagpipes... o#

    U may try to play with setting value for gunner/loader:
    ...data\k42\loc_rus\levels\LEVELS\cocpits\coc_pz3j.engcfg
    ,0.01, sig_gunner, 60.0, 6, -90,95,0,65,false,0, 0, 0.03,0.115;
    ,0.04, sig_loader, 60.0, 6, -75,60,-10,50, false, 0, 0, 0, 0.15;
    -90,95,0,65 this is FOV(left/right/up/down). Change on -180,180,180,180 and see what happen Wink

    It worked! You are amazing!!!
    Was that how "Better head movement" mod worked? If so, all I had to do is changing every entry for all cockpits. I see that the first value was for cockpit view. One thing though: third value should be -180 instead of 180, no?

    I think, yes.

    Yeap. Then u may include T-34 "better head movement" mod and name it as "FOV decreased in cockpit" or whatever. Then make release for SF Community.

    I'm always confusing with these values Smile
    Some of them are responsible for the cockpit, some "unbuttoned" position.

    Here's description:
    //camera, head shaking, group, FOV, connection, view left/right, view up/down, binocular, zoom, camera position: x, y(up), z(horizon)
    Try to play with all values, i.e. set up "binocular" 100 Very Happy

    I will after extensive trial: need to find out the inside outs of the parameters. Probably as "better head movement 2.0" as it really is a continuation of previous efforts. I've found that the first value in each line (e.g., behind "sig_gunner") is indeed FOV. Expanding it beyond 90 distorts view too much and isn't advisable. In fact I wouldn't touch it at all.

    Filename for tanks with cockpits?

    Post by Technopiper on Fri Jul 31, 2015 9:48 pm

    In the FAQ lockie wrote:

    In STA mod only these units have cockpits (interior):
    GERMAN:
    Tiger I, Pz III, Jagdpanzer IV, Pz IV, Jagdtiger and King Tiger(available in the Mission Editor with note "cockpit").
    SOVIET:
    T-34/76, T-34/57, Mark II "Matilda", SU-76, SU-100, KV-1.

    Sometimes this isn't apparent. PzIIIN (coc_pz3n.engcfg), for example, doesn't have a cockpit. Tiger I, on the other hand, has 4 seperate files. I have no idea which variant they refer to. Could anyone provide the actual filename for tanks with cockpits? (i.e., "coc_TANKNAME.engcfg).

    Thank You!

    It's easy.
    1. open in OE desired model, ie tigerh1.go
    2. then open
    ...data\k42\loc_rus\levels\levels\tech_cfg\tiger.engcfg
    3. find entry:
    mesh=tigerh1;
    4. then looking for entry:
    cocpit=cocpits\coc_tiger.engcfg;

    Think I got it. Need at least a week of trial before I feel comfortable releasing it. Thanks!
