    Unconscious soldier

Post by lockie on Sun Jul 12, 2015 4:36 am

It;s a very interesting moment. I was sure if soldier drop on the ground - he already dead, but he didn't. He is just temporally in the blackout area. After a while he brought to his mind.
    There are some pictures:

Soldier in the black uniform is alive.

Seems to be - he is "dead".

    Now he is resurrected.

Could it be he had some type of shell shock... or maybe it just might be that those German's from Dead Snow 2 have contaminated Steel Fury with a deadly Tank Sim Zombie virus! affraid

Hahah, I doubt we have a case of zombie nazis here Very Happy
It's just the wounding animation, it plays when they get hit in the arms and legs iirc, so basically non-lethal areas...

Just kidding or course... but there is that clawing sound coming from the back door. Shocked

Having the enemy forces reemerge during a mission is not good either.

Well in my opinion it's a pretty realistic touch to have people knocked down like that when shot in the arms/legs, it brings more uncertainty and variety - back then they definitely couldn't be sure that little blob they saw hitting the deck at 800m after an MG burst was dead, wounded or simply in cover, and this addition recreates that quite nicely.

As my point the game simulates contusion/uncosious or smth. Firstly I paid attention to this moment, when created mission "Sheer dirty attack" (APC M8).
I shoot all soldiers in the trench and was sure all of them dead, but... they appeared again and again in the same trench. I though to myself, perhaps I wasn't attentive and missed smth.
But finally during my investigation so called "STA bug" I got a clue that soldiers inspite death pose - may resurrect! It's amazing feature!
I've been playing the game more than 7 years and only now got this feature! Cool Shocked What a Face
