    Tutorials for Mission creation and map editing

    I have seen the short video tutorial in English for creating a rudimentary mission, but I have lots of questions about triggers, tactical marks, etc. that weren't covered by the video.

    Is it possible an English tutorial video could be made to help newbies like myself create missions? I tried to decipher mission "Kashara", but without a little guidance on things I was lost quickly. I did figure out artillery strikes and have added them to my own mission (it works great and is cool to watch), but other stuff is confusing...

    Any help would be great!

    I've idea to supply original video tutors with subtitles, but it a long-future project. Anyway, I may answer on er questions abt. ME.

    I just have so many questions, I didn't want to be a pain in the ass!

    What are triggers? Are they way points that the units have to go towards? There seem to be a lot of choices available to tie the trigger to, and the translations are a little confusing. Some are victory- or defeat-oriented. I'm assuming units must defend or occupy the contour to gain victory or be defeated.

    Is there a manual or tutorial for the explanations of each of the choices?

    What are tactical marks, i.e., "Kashara" has many different marks for each unit and they seem to be named different from the choices in the editor.

    I mostly understand Scripts, but what is the difference and function compared to Triggers?

    The only missions I can create right now do not have a victory/defeat result, I just Abort and look at my Statistics. The only Tutorial I've seen is by an English guy who went through the very basics, but didn't go much further. Maybe whoever did the video could expand on it with more info to create full Missions?

    Map Editing is even more confusing, and I would like to put pillboxes, trenches, or other things in the map.

    So much to learn! But I would like to make complete Missions and be able to modify maps.

    Yes. Events has description of the boolean algebra. U've to understand there are:
    - adding/OR: 1 | 1 = 1, 1 | 0 =1
    - multiplication/AND: 1 & 1=1, 1 & 0=0

    Yes. I.e. to get the victory u need two condition:
    1. superiority in the contour (trigger_super_contur)
    2. superiority all over polygon/map (trigger_super_over)
    Thus trigger_victory=trigger_super_contur & trigger_super_over
    When both triggers switched on the "1" state, then u 'll get a victory.

    It's insignia. It is a "candy".

    Script is a consequences of the commands "how to" for the AI unit. Trigger is a part of the scripts, which brings info did event take place(1) or not(0).

    The easiest way how to get victory is trigger: superiority all over polygon. Setup superiority in 3 times.
    Usually: medium tank cost ~500 points, heavy ~1000, light ~200.

    I want to translate default video-tutors, but have no idea when it happen and I don't have a good background how to work with video.


    So much to learn! But I would like to make complete Missions and be able to modify maps.
    Creating mission is more interesting than playing them alien

    Here's a quick simple mission on the base of trigger "General superiority of the allies all over polygon". I setup 3 times GER over USR during 1 minute.

    Installation:
    1. double click:
    ...Steel Fury - Kharkov 1942\0_create_new_missn.bat
    2. click unpack
    3. select all_superiority.datapack
    4. exit
    5. start the game->User missions->all_superiority

    I get the 001 exception fault when I tried to open the mission. Stops at 92%.
