    IMO 2 or 3 Sdkfz7 with removed flak would be good tractors.

    Very well. IMO it should be a good user-friendly practice in all missions designing: pre-fail information about the reason of fail.

    New mission "Easy livin'" from Deviator is on the way!
    There will be a classic battle between light tanks: T-26 vs Pz.35(t). On the the highest level there will be more power tanks as Pz.III J(kwk38).
    I've managed got one, but he got me also Smile I've hit another Pz.35(t), but the game didn't take it to my stat  Evil or Very Mad



    I should have been installed "Grey color mod".

    I didn't play more for the T-26 tank, but this time I tried to unbuttoned loader position and was surprised he could not see forward, only back Shocked

    Mission is ready! As usually, who wants to test it, then PM me.
    I think this is the first mission where T-26 finally has an appropriate enemy - Pz.35(t).

    Attack the village. U've to do it a very faster or enemy will capture defended positions and mission failed.

    That was driver's fault, not mine Smile T-26 is a very unstable. So be warned abt. any hole in the ground.

    Having trouble with GMP2.37 it will not load with JSGME,have downloaded many times.

    2.37 does not show up in menu,do not know how to post picture. I have tried all combinations.
    The 2.37 Game Mission Pack does not show up in the game menu I can not choose any mission from 2.37 .

    GMP2.x exists a long timer ago. It seems u've error "double folder".

    Checked for double folder do not have double folder.1.45 and 3.35 show up in menu just no 2.37

    One of 2 things are happening.  Go into your game's main data folder and go all the way to :

    For example: E:\Steel Fury -STA 1.0  July 2015 Cromwell\data\k42\loc_rus\levels\LEVELS. Once you open the LEVELS folder you should see 3 mission pack folders listed including one called cm_pack_mission30.If you don't see it means your mission pack has not been properly installed or enabled. You can try disenabling it and re-enabling to to solve the problem.

    2) If it's not the issue then open the camp folder - located in the same area - and check to see if you have the folder gmp_30.engcfg.If you don't which may be your case then the mission pack will not appear in your game menu. Again it means your mission pack did not properly install.

    "Firefly" mission report

    Mission No 49. "Firefly" in action! (M4A4 "Firefly"), STA2.0.

    This is a fun mission - nimble, responsive tank, big gun/lots of ammo, terrific sight,  fair armor. The Firefly was a prime target for Germans, so take heed - they will try to get you ( you'll feel like your tank has a large "AIM HERE" sign attached). But remember, this is a game.
    We'll start at the Map - Since I want to remain in cover for awhile, I send my companions to the Right so they can approach fording site behind the treeline. I head off the the Left behind trees and poke my nose out in a spot where I can see the far horizon and also cover my flank to the Left. I stay under trees because the pesky Stukas will nail you if in the open. I start w/ AP and keep my HE for later - cripples and infantry.

    Now. I've spotted a Panther emerge over crest and nail him as he starts down. Note the haze or "fog" - not sure if this was intended, but it gets worse as mission proceeds. Lockie has seen this and said it will be better in STA3.0. Don't think it's my Nvidia GTX 660ti because in most other missions, never see this.


    I continue to hit tanks and Jagdpanthers first, they are biggest threat. The personnel carriers just dart around and try to get you to waste ammo.  They do inflict a toll on my infantry, but I've hit them w/AP or HE if I have time to switch and they just continue to dart around. I've got 3 burning now, and that fellow on Right is also dead - so we're chopping wood and getting them down to size. Sometimes I move in trees - not quite ready to expose yet.


     Now, let's check the carnage - see what we have wrought upon them.  Also, looking for any survivors/threats. Stay away from infantry. There's still a tank on the ridge and couple more down in the mix. I see 2 of my tanks managed to drown themselves - drivers were Pee Wee Herman and Mr. Bean.


     Now, I can move forward. I pick a spot w/some cover and bag 2 more tanks and 251/9. Note haze is getting lower. There is the fellow on the ridge - waiting for me to make a fatal mistake. I'm close enough so do a quick stop and let fly. BINGO.


     So we're done. I've had more kills (15), but also been wounded and killed also - so it's a win anyway. Remember, IT'S A GAME. I often poke around looking at damage. I'll post some more soon, but this game is amazing in that for it's age, it continues to be built upon and improved. I remember one of the hits and went to see - the game recorded the hit right near the mantle as I remembered. Amazing.

    "Firefly" is a really good one against Germans predators!
    That's a hard mission, coz u've to destroy units enemy and forward to the appoint place.
    I'd like to note that this mission was made on the base of MaxFH script!

    It struck me - the tactic I use in most missions - is that of a sniper.  Operate from a point of distance and concealment.  That's explains my preference for guns w/ high velocity rounds and good optics  (ie  Tiger, M26, Panther).  However, I don't have to be too concerned w/ crosswinds moving my point of impact. Mad 

    I think the sight used by Firefly and "Easy eight"  is the best.  Easy to adjust and crisp data that doesn't block center.  Note the addition of fps under the different loads.  Always have to remember to adjust impact when switching to HE from the AP- discarding sabot ( 2900fps vs 1800).

    The T-62 in "Steel Armor-Blaze of War" has one of worst sights.  You must try to "gestimate" using the tiny gradients for longer range ( 1600 to 1800m ) must split the difference.  The M60 has the better sight.   I still prefer the Firefly's tho.

    Did you know that Firefly got it's name by "wink" of it's muzzle blast?  Almost blinded the crew at night and also kicked up a lot of dust.  Better move.
    Also note in Mission details - the British crews often tried to disguise the barrels by painting or attaching fake smoke evacuator.

    The polygon "Seelow Heights" was greatly redesigned! Now area looks a very closer to the West Front. There were replaced all buildings on the western type, trees. Added flowers, bushes, roads and many other objects like fences, barrels, dry logs, hand cart, dead horse etc. All highways now tailed on the polygon. Fixed and changed all trenches for the infantry and AT tanks.
    Two missions has been already updated:
    1. Pz.VI "Tiger"
    2. JS-2 late
    3. T-34/85 WIP
    There are some screens.
    BEFORE




    AFTER (the weather changed on "winter no snow")




    And there are some screens from the updated mission of the tank JS-2(late).




    The mission is a very hard at the balance "5", coz enemy has AT guns PAK-43. On the balance "7" user bump into a big PILLBOX heavily protected with a thick armor and meet SPG 3x Hetzer.
    My trophy was a "King Tiger"!





    This beast cased me a very big trouble to my forces!


    To my happiness the second monster got damaged the track and wasn't in time when I finished the "King Tiger"  Fighting


    At this moment mission/polygon is available only for STA3.1, but soon I'll adjust it to STA2.3

    Well done, but I suggest not to replace, but keep both versions of the polygon available for mission designers. "Seelow Heights Eaststyle" may be used as a location on Ukraine or Belarus. The topography of this polygon is IMO very interesting and provides big opurtinities of creating interesting missions.
