    Mission working title "Gunlogic"

    Hi Lockie,

It is summer 1943 year. There is a Tiger platoon(3x) with infantry and a couple Pz.III N, which abt. to attack a village occupied with enemy. The tasks are:
    - capture the village
    - repel the enemy counter-attack
I mean, scenario(and script) will be the same. There will be only a new polygon and a new name of the village. What du u think?

Your proposition is ok. I like the Tiger and perspective of creating a mission for it is attractive for me.

Despite this I'd like to present alternative conception.

Rearming is important element of the mission, let's say: its specific attraction.
So would be interesting, if the player had to rearm more then one time.
In that context the Tiger with its big ammo load is not optimal choice.
So, IMO, the best candidates for the player's tank are the IS-2 and the SU-100.
I considered also the Jagdtiger, but is too slow: we need a fast AFV to leave the battlefield, get the ammo and return in time.
Advantages of the SU-100 in comparision to the IS-2:
    - has a beatifull cockpit,
    - has no MG, so during close combat against the infantry, the ammo disapears like camfora,
    - small number of missions as so far.

    I propose triple mission project:
    1. "basic" mission for the SU-100,
    2. clone 100% for the ISU-122,
    3. clone 100% or small changes for the IS-2.

Place & time: Battle of Bautzen, April'45

Because, unfortunately, SF has no the implementation of the Polish army,
let's place action around Kloster-St.Marienstern, in the operational area of Soviet 4Gd Armd Corps.

    WikiLink:
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Battle_of_Bautzen_1945-b.png

General scenario: the same or similiar,
The player's unit script: the same or similiar,
The AI units scripts: all options available,

    The polygon: new or existing.
If new, it's 100% up to you. I have totally no experience, but I like learning new things.

    How do you like?

    And an in-the-fly idea:
Now, when deciding "new/existing polygon", a catalogue of existing maps would be very usefull.
There is topic "New tanks in STA".
Why not the same for polygons: forum topic with screenshots of maps as they are seen in the game on the tactical map screen.
Each one with info about its author and its location: stock game, "core" STA or one of GMPs.

    Sounds good!

No new polygon. We already have many of them and at this time I'm working with two new (Fury, Villers). So, it should be already prepared polygon. It should has:
    - village
    - trenches (defence position)
I like "w07_fedorovka", but it doesn't has trenches Sad

There is also great "w06_petrovka", but same problem - no trenches Sad

What abt polygon "sta_mysharivka" by MaxFH? He shared with me source code and there are trenches. There are the next missions on the base of this polygon(GMP2.35):
    - Steel Monster, June 1941 (KV-2)
    - Armor in action! July 1942 (KV-1)
    - "Tiger" defence, August 1943, (Pz.VI "Tiger")

The next polygon is "sherman_nt". The missions are:
    - Sheer "dirty" attack (APC M8 'Greyhound')
    - "Green devils" (Sdkfz.234 'Puma')
    - Into the fire! (M4A3/76)

    And it is Siivertsi. Missions:
    - Otto Carius: Siivertsi (Pz.VI H "Tiger") GMP3.31
    - Machine Head (Pz.VI H1 "Tiger") GMP3.31

    Polygon "eu_m36_west". Missions:
    - Save general Frinikenko! (M3 halftrack) GMP3.31
    - River of Doom (M-36 `Jackson`) GMP3.31

    And an in-the-fly idea:

    This is excellent idea!
Would u like to be involved into in? All descriptions/details/main idea as u wish. I've some screens of the polygons:

From what I remember reading about it on the Polish sides only ISU-152s, SU-85s and T34/85s were involved in the battle against the PZD Hermann Goering...

ISU-122 were more common then ISU-152.

Additionally, at the begining of April'45, the very first (single pieces) of SU-100 were delivered to Polish SU-85 regiments.

Following link in Polish (no English version):
    https://pl.wikipedia.org/wiki/5_Pu%C5%82k_Czo%C5%82g%C3%B3w_Ci%C4%99%C5%BCkich

5th (and 4th) Heavy Tanks Regiment were equipped with IS-2.
5th Regiment didn't fight against "Herman Goering", but took a part in that operation.
