    Game Mission Pack v.2.37 for the MOD STA(Steel Tanks Add-on) (Eng game version)
    This “Game Mission Pack” was created only on the base of STA mod and for the English game version. There are 55 missions available now.

    Install through JSGME.

    I failed on first two tries of "Tiger in the Mud", but I am posting a quick impression of the mission:

    1. I like how this mission corresponds to combined arms, with infantry and tanks providing cover for each other. The map is of high quality and extremely beautiful. Do I see Lake Ladoga in the background? Wink

    2. I am aware of Tiger H1 which first appeared near Leningrad, Sep 1942. It has two storage cases on each side of the turret. But I didn't know there's a version with just one on the right. Two tries gave me each of the two versions. What a treat!


    3. Curse the smoke barrage! Tigers no longer enjoy an advantage in range. I won't tell what lies in wait. tongue


    4. Suggest mod to use with this mission is the Autumn mod. I guess this mission was located outside Leningrad in Sep 1942. The Siege of that city was broken in January.

    I completed the mission with no problem. This time the weather mod I use is "Late Autumn". The smoke barrage affects fps a bit but the mission is playable. I find the mission somewhat challenging (at level 5), and it took me 5 tries to win, just remember to let infantry lead the way. My transmission was busted - along with driver, radioman - and I had to reverse all the way to victory. Ruckwarts!  Smile  That, and my lopsided turret make a disturbing sight to anyone who is familiar with that tank.   elephant

    Second mission "Pull the "rabbit" out" is ready.

    This time it is Sd.Kfz. 232(6) under user' control. He must provide evacutaion of the damaged Tiger from the battlefield. Mission is hard, coz u've to:
    1. come to the point, where Tiger is located (this task is easy)
    2. retreat under fire, where the Soviet infantry and tanks attacks evacuation group
    As usually, who wants to test the mission, then PM me.

    Okay, whoever created this mission has a very strange sense of humor... and a very good taste in music. Cool I enabled Winter mod to test mission integrity with brute force. Mission runs well and has an unexpectedly eerie but beautiful scenery. I highly recommend it! I created the snow camo for SdKfz 232 myself. Wink

    I'm abt. to finish the mission with Pz.35(t), then I'll send files for the testing.

    Mission is a very easy on the balance "1" Smile
    But getting harder at "5" and more. Be careful with a Soviet ATG 45mm. It's a death weapon against such can as Pz.35(t). I named mission as "Gone shootin' to Gaitolovo" to play with "Gone with the wind".

    History note:
    The First Sinyavino Operation was carried out from 10 to 26 September 1941, by a detachment from the 54th Army (attacking from the Gaitolovo Region towards Sinyavino) by the 115th Rifle Division and by the 4th Leningrad Front Marines Brigade, which attacked from the region of Nevskaya Dubrovka towards Sinyavino. The 54th Army Detachment advanced 6-10 km, then was surrounded and nearly entirely destroyed. Leningrad Front troops made a forced crossing of the Neva River and occupied the Nevsky Bridgehead, but failed to advance further.

    Again, I use the resource-hungry Winter mod to test how well this mission runs. It runs smoothly without a glitch. Pz 35 (t) is the spotlight of this fairly challenging mission. I choose not to go through the village, the infantry is more than capable of handling themselves there. Instead I took the left flank to pick out MG and AT nests. Just be careful not to run into minefields at the far flanks.



    Another wonderful mission by deviator. I really appreciate the fact that we get more missions about vehicles that are generally considered "uncool". Cool In STA 1.0, I've discovered that I am a bigger fan of armored cars and halftracks.

    Infantry does a big role in this mission. There are two ways how to enhance the mission:
    1. Place another contour with trigger. When user came into this contour the infantry will start moving. We could add radio-message: I'm Wolf. I'm near trenches. The infantry may go.

    2. Add infantry to the user's squad.
    I like first variant, coz it's more advanced. U've to control tanks and infantry. Second variant is more simple. Infantry acts separately according to the script.

    At this moment infantry start attack after 2.5 min.

    Fellow fan of light vehicles? Honestly, name one game that gives you such a wide range of armored cars and light tanks. I can't think of one. Wink

    I like how, in the last three missions by deviator, that infantry gets a big role. That's how it should be in combined arms warfare.

    Fourth mission "Dark hours" (T-60) is abt. to be finished.

    This time user(3xT-60) must prevent an evacuation of the damaged Tiger. It's easy deal inspite it is night period. U've to shoot at Tiger's track to stop them and be warned abt. enemy APC's.
    Originally, there were two Tigers H1. One of them played role as "damaged", another one was as a "tractor-retriever", but it looked exactly as original Sad
    So, I decided to remove the turret to provide smt. similar to "retriever", but I've got CTD Sad

    So, here's a bit delay to fix the issue with "retriever".

    PS
    Because mission is quite hard for understanding, I've added a warning message to user: Enemy tanks evacuated. Mission failed.
    Then after a while user will see entire "Mission failed" and game over.
