    Tracks on fire

    I have tried the 4gb patch and still crashes, the curious thing is that "Tracks on fire" works sometimes (one or two times from ten) Shocked
    I have a clean install on windows 7 ( i7 core ,8gb RAM and NVIDIA gtx770)

    Yes, that's a pretty weird bug, when mission sometimes load or not. I'll try to locate it.

    OK, suppose the issue has been resolved.
    Here's a quick fix for the mission "Tracks on fire".

    Install it, then report: did u've any problems during mission loading? If there will be no errors, then I'll make a patch for the FebUpd-2015.
    Attention! Fix MUST be installed the last in line.

    Installation is OK, but if u still have "97%" error, then I can't help. Coz "97% error" has gone at my new test installation, thus I can't recreate it. Mission "Across" is still under investigation.

    For any case I've made fix#2. Try it. There is smth. wrong with PC memory working. Sometimes it works, smtm. not.

    Thanks again Lockie but still do not work .I do not know what is the problem but I have another installation of Steel fury in the same Pc with NTA and "Tracks on fire" works fine without problems

    I think this is not the problem because I have deleted the two folders before STA SOUND MOD installation

    OK, then we've a very interesting bug! Try to localize with // the problem unit and we'll find out then what caused CTD.
    May be this is because of the random units appearing and that's why some triggers doesn't work or whatever.

    Before u'll start error searching, replace user tank M3 Lee on T-34/76. U can do it manually. Open file:

    That's definitely a VERY interesting! How many times did u start the mission with T-34/76? U should try at least 10 times to be sure that mission works stable.

    12 times are quite enough. It does that problem is exactly in the unit rkka_platoon_mtann43b
    There are three variants how to fix mission:
    1. open file: ...data\k42\loc_rus\levels\LEVELS\common\common_units.engcfg
    Find entry:
    rkka_m3lee,600,1,rkkau_m3lee,1,rkka_crew_m3lee,1,,,,,,;
    replace on
    rkka_m3lee,600,0.4,rkkau_m3lee,1,rkka_crew_m3lee,1,,,,,,;
    It does that M3 Lee with short barrel will appear in 40% as user's tank. There will be Lee with long barrwel in other 60% cases.

    2. open file: ...data\k42\loc_rus\levels\LEVELS\common\common_units.engcfg
    Find entry:
    rkka_mtann43a,rkka_m3lee,rkka_m3leem3,,,;
    replace on
    rkka_mtann43a,rkka_m3leem3,,,,;
    It does M3 Lee with long barrel will be always as user's tank

    Do as in the variant #1, then find entry:

    It will be closer to the variant #1, but user's tank always be with long barrel. (fixed)

    The easiest is variant #2, but in this case user always will get tank with long barrel. Variant #3 is preferable.

    Also I've changed a bit other units for RKKA M3s Lee.
    Could u try all of them in the mission? I mean just manually place in the block units and see will it work or not.

    rkka_platoon_mtann43d does: 3x M3s (random b.) + platoon infantry
    rkka_platoon_mtann43e does: 2x M3s (random b.) + squad infantry

    I think the problem in the mission "Across from Pyrgos" could be similar
    Unfortunately, no. There is a problem with polygon itself. Bug is still under investigation.

    Sorry Lockie ,I am not sure I understood you, ...do you mean I must modify first common_units.engcfg acording to the second variant you posted, and them locate //M3Lee groups RKKA in "common_units.engcfg" and try this new files one by one?

    I have tried all three variants you posted to fix the mission, I have to report only the third variant works for me ,the first and second cause CTD
