That's awesome! A nice history to cover!

But why not tell the history behind the combat involving the "Tiger 1" nº "131 red"?

First mission for the polygon "Kasserine pass" is about to be finished! This mission will be included into Campaign "Shulze Dairy", where the main hero is StuG III F(later).
German attack the village under USA protection. There are three groups:
    - 3xPz.III L +inf.
    - 3x StuG III F +inf.
    - 3x Pz.III N (no schurzen) + inf.(depends on balance)
    - 1x grenadier platoon (4xSPW)
When the defence broken and village captured there would be USA counter-attack.

    USA side:
    - inf. platoon
    - 2xMG
    - 3x ATG 37mm
    - 2x mortar 60mm
    - QF25 howitzer (random)
    - support vehicles in the village
    counter-attack
    - 9x Sherman M4A1/2 75mm
    - 6x General Lee (depends on balance)
Version with Pz.III L(main hero) will be included into GMP.

    Seems like a sound concept!

Only comment is about the QF25 - I'm not sure if the Americans used those in Tunisia, but since it was a rather early stage in their war involvement it might be plausible (not to mention that the alternative would be making the US 105mm howitzer, which would delay the mission even more) Smile

Also, the 37mm M1 is looking great, looks like it will be a pretty difficult target to hit.

USA didn't has such howitzer. I placed it, coz was out of 105mm M2A1. But Will73 told me it's possible to make it on the base of M5 gun.

Yeap, 37mm gun looks fine Cool This gun is good for the any operation of the USA side.

    lockie... APC M3/75 is coming

Have to say the troops are hungry for action and just itching to get into the fight, while the armored forces are being rearmed and fueled up for the coming heated showdown at this very moment.

The tactical operational plans are on the table, while our best commander's are sweating beads studying the them before handing us our marching orders.  viking

Yes, I believe it's a good time to say your last goodbyes and put on your warface!   affraid

Finally, we'll get the most suicidal US vehicle in the mission!
M3/75 was designed as anti-tank unit, but his validity was under a very big question puzzled
Anyhow, everyone will get expperience how this vehicle does under the battle conditions!
I'd like to note that this mission will take place thanks to our trusty TSF members:
    - will73 (3d model itself)
    - woofiedog (all history documents and mission design)

The draft idea is: a squad of two APC M3-75 reinforced with two infantry squads have to take an ambush position then, intercept a German column(trucks, Fiat L6/40 tanks), which has a purpose to destroy the US base. User must eliminate the enemy convoy and protect the base!
On the higher balance Fiat will be replaced on Pz.III/L.

First try to fire up the mission!
I've to confess it's a pure suicide to take this vehicle M3/75 under the control  happy
All I've managed to do is one truck Opel destroying, then my car became out of order pardon

In fact, everything were damaged: gearbox, engine, all crewmembers killed. Suppose, there is a bug with a damage indicating.

Here's a second try. This time I gave a user three APC M3/75 and now we've got a superiority!
With some a fairy tails I've managed to get to the ambush and have taken positions! I've ordered my wingmen stay towards the possible attack and from time to time give a command "stop".
It's almost impossible to hit the target at the distance ~1km using the default APC sight. Mostly, I take the Commander place and indicate to gunner's AI which mark is preferable to hit first. Then took place as a driver to hide my vehicle in the bush.

    Here's my ambush position.

The enemy attack started! The distance was abt. ~1km

A victory and trophies! I've got only one tank Pz.II, but it was enough to get the mission completed successful!

Trophies are Fiat L6/40. As we can see this tank may take a multi-hits and still alive!

    Conclusion:
APC M3/75 is a good vehicle to support the infantry attack against the enemy infantry, but as AT gun it is a very weak and unreliable weapon.

This is the type of mission I really enjoy fight in, no hope of survival without carefully planning your strikes against the enemy forces from a position of good cover. Oh yes, by all means don't not underestimate the value of a proper ambush site that you can take cover in after firing a shot at the enemy and until the next target comes into view.  Wink

Must say what makes this mission great is the excellent planing that went into putting this mission together and can not leave out the new African map. The new fora, grass, trees, cactus and many other features really gives the feeling that you are in a real North African battlefield. cheers

A big hand goes out to all that made this mission and map possible for us.  applause
