Real Data for F34 and BR-350B is:

    69mm@500m
    61mm@1000m
May I ask u where did u get such data? I mean source.

    PS
Also u may play with winter resistance and gravity. U need it only in case to get right shell trajectory. I.e. on the distance 1000m the shell trajectory should not be more in the higher point then 3m.

Oh, I see thanks. Is it possible to enclose only one source? I.e. this investigation was made on the base http://amizaur.prv.pl/www.wargamer.org/GvA/weapons/soviet.html#Gun_Penetration_Data

    where:
    Original
F-34 gun has for BR–350B the next pe:
    1. 66 mm at distance 100m, degrees 0.
    Game
    1. 100 mm at distance 100m, degrees 0.
    and so on.
    Conclusion:
Pe for the shell BR350B should be decreased to the value 0.51.

I mean, I'd like see the base of investigation. After we may always make a note to this investigations.
Many sources are not good, coz they just confusing. There should be only one base with some limitations, i.e. don't count wind speed, humidity, barrel wear etc. Then when we'll discuss one type of the shell and get common conclussion, then move this investigation to the closed topic as a standard.

One other hard part is to investigate on the shells, are which shells do have explosives in them, i do know that for example early brittish tanks like churchill and matilda in africa only used solid ap shells.
I'm sure at 90% that all shells, which now has explosives, were made by me to provide gameplay. I.e. I added a bit expls. to Panter APC shell, some to Churchill and may by to other tanks also. And of course, armor subject to re-design. This question appeared a long time ago. May be 4-5 years.
Then it would be interesting for me to see a new mod with a new characteristics and how they will effect the gameplay. May be I'm wrong, but I think at least 50-60% of the missions will be still playable, 20-30% partly playable and abt. 10% unplayable. But missions could be fixed and re-adjusted according to the new mod. That will be a very hard and a very long work to re-adjust all guns and armors and then provide playability for the missions. But we're not in hurry. A couple years does nothing. I remember to implement bike with MG it took more than 1 year! But now bike works without questions and there are two missions already done!

I think it makes sense to adjust the gun values to as close to real data as possible. It's been my battle cry for the last 5 years. I remember arguing bitterly with Mr. Question Mistwalker( I wonder what happened to him, soonafter releasing his Steel Panzer Mod 2.0 he vanished completely...)

Добавлено мішень для налаштувань снарядів, підправлено освітлення мішені.
    Товщина дефолт броні - 100мм,
Added new units "practice target"(with different slopes) for shells adjusting, corrected target brightness. Default armor thickness is 100 mm.

I think would be good idea to leave this decision at user point. It is a very specific unit. It's not a tank anymore.

Lockie is your answer to me or to Will1973?

    It's a common answer. To Donken, will73 and u.
Of course, I can make mission with new target-units, but such type of mission will be boring.
And finally all five targets were implemented with help of will73!
    There are:
    1x TARGET "0 degrees"
    1x TARGET "30 degrees"
    1x TARGET "60 degrees"
1x "King Tiger Armor" TARGET "30 degrees"
1x "Panther Armor" TARGET "30 degrees"

Uh I didn't ask for any mission, just asked for the map with the targets on them so I can practice with various tank guns....

There is a simple explanation how shell splinters penetrates through the armor. There are splits. Splinters doesn't has a physical size.

And there is a hole under db_mask.

Donken if you can please fix it. Otherwise this won't be a realistic tank sim anymore or at least an attempt to be one.

In what proportion do the slinters penetrate the armour? Systematically or just once in a while?

Anyway just to say tremendously useful work you are doing Donken! Many thanks!

MMMM true enough now that you mention it. The other day I was killed by an 85mm shell which hit the conning tower of my Tiger I ( early model) and somehow despite the fact that the shot should have deflected upwards or away from the inside of tank it set off the ammo and my tank cooked... Shocked

Very interesting find Donken. I am going to make the changes to a few selected German and Soviet tanks and see what the results are. What about changing db_head for db_turret?

And the results are a shock! It is insanely overpowered.

On the other hand the 100mm of the SU-100 and the KwK40 L48 of the Panzer IV Ausf H seem overpowered.

    Great work!Thanks.

su 100 killed all german tanks including KTiger at distance 1500m
