    How to install STA mod

Post by lockie on Mon Jul 28, 2014 3:47 pm

    JSGME
Never install SF in C:\Program files\
    Install somewhere else, i.e:
    D:\My Games\Steel Fury\
Here's a video tutorial how to install STA mod by Geoweb35
    video:

    Here's a sample of installation:
    1. Install game SF
    2. Install JSGME in the main SF folder (for example in D:\My Games\Steel Fury\)

    3. Unpack STA1.2/STA2.3/STA3.3 and place it in the folder:
    ...Steel Fury - Kharkov 1942\MODS\

    4. Install STA1.2/STA2.3/STA3.2 through JSGME

    NOTES:
    1. Sometimes to start the game u've to select:
    - default or russian
    - local server
    - press "Start"

If u don't want to see this small window with choices, then delete/rename the next file:
    ...Steel Fury - Kharkov 1942\root\default.engcfg

    2. Be warned about so called error "double folder". When u unpacked STA1.0, then opened it. The content of the folder should look like this:

If inside folder STA1.2 you have another folder STA1.2
OR if inside folder STA2.3 you have another folder STA2.3
OR if inside folder STA3.2 you have another folder STA3.2
    then u've "double folder" error.
This "double folder" error may happen with any other folders of the mod STA. Unpack folders with attention.

I think when you download the program it comes with a read me which makes it frankly very easy to figure out. If somebody cannot make the JSGME work then I suspect he won't be able to play Steel Fury or even understand the game. Once JSGME is downloaded it should be installed by default into the ga\me's directory. Once this is done just create a new folder which you call MODs or mods and in it you install all new mods, mission packs which you then enable by clicking on the JSGME icon.It may take up to 20 minutes for the mod /file to be enabled depending on the sizxe of it and how fast your cpu is .

-too help with info of mods-

-The flowing will make a menu pop up as you hover-over (without selecting) the item (active or not) with your mouse pointer with any message you want. (there is a character limit that can be seen)-
    VVV

    1) Make a sub folder called "documentation" within the main folder, example: hotfix_03_08.2014\documentation
    VVV

    2) Within the documentation folder, make a text file (name whatever you want), change the extension type to a .jsgme file.
    VVV

    3) open the *.jsgme file with an text editor, write any info you want. I like to put a install order number (#1,#2,#3...), name, version, date...
    VVV

    end.

I can't tell u disable anti-v. This is just my how to say guess-work. It's up to u what the final decision u'll take Rolling Eyes
STA mod exists ~2 years. There are no any exe files to prevent any possible conflict with anti-v programs.
