    Thank you Donken ^^
You can find my computer specs in the description box of the video.
Sorry, I can put a URL for next few days it seems.

It runs ok, but I had to be easy on enabling AA from Nvidia inspector.

Hi first post on this forum - and I'd just like to say a big thank you to everyone who's added such fantastic work to SF. I had the sim way back, but it's because I also saw the videos from Luftangreifer a few days ago I started to search the Internet and also found this site.

It's great how this aim is still going strong largely because of the hard work from dedicated modders who are kind enough to share their talents with the rest of us.

So..... a special unreserved and grateful thanks to Lockie for this site, to everyone who's contributed in any way, and to Luftangreifer for getting me back into SF!! cheers cheers cheers

Thank you Barcelona Blom and lockie Wink

It was the vid I think called White Tiger by Luftangreifer that caught by my eye - that and the clip of the King Tiger in winter camo used for the title. I've since played that same mission and some of the views are almost photo-realistic! I didn't see any ghosts in this video though - not like in the "other" film Very Happy

Im glad you liked the videos, and yeah the community here and in other nation is pretty awesome Very Happy

Ive noticed quite some people were actually interested in purchasing a copy of the game which is a great thing. My only wish is being able to multi-crew a tank.. but I guess thatll never happen..

I'll second that - I really like the way you present them. Actually it's because of White Tiger that I ended re-purchasing SF. I had trouble re-installing my old copy I had orignially through Direct2Drive even though it was re-downloaded with a Key from the new owners. Annoying, but it's worth every penny and I'm sure Graviteam won't be complaining about another sale! Smile

Thanks for the kind compliment! I was planning for some KV-1 mission, however I'm a little busy atm with my studying. It's the end of the term here in Japan.

Plus, I have to feed my subscribers with easy to understand casual games once in a while. Every time I go on a sim video rampage, people start complaining haha. I'll try and put out one or two SF hopefully this month.

No rush Luftangreifer - your studies are far more important!

I look forward to seeing a KV-1 mission when you get the time Wink

Incidentally, I think I found the Japanese SF site you mentioned elsewhere, and I see there was a Fix_MayUpd_2015, along with a voice pack. Are these compatible with the STA mods from this site?

Isn't the Fix_MayUpd an official patch from STA guys? I know that some patch there is slightly modified by a Japanese guy, but as long as your game is up to date, I don't think you need the MayUpd installed. (In other words, you already should have it installed).

Sound completion mod and Voice pack is compatible with STA, make sure to enable it after all STA mods. Make sure to disable one weirdly named mod from SCM as well. That adds anime voice from girls undo panzer

It is hot fix to fix current issues. It's not official update, coz there are probably some bugs. It does user install this fix to test it then report abt. bugs.

    @ lockie.
Thanks. I had trouble downloading it anyway from that site. I'll leave well alone we have an official update on this site Wink

I've found a very interesting video made by user under nick "soviet drink". I'm really impressed with his PC power!
This mission "Defend the Fatherland" is a very resourceful. There are the same things with a polygon. Polygon is a very heavy (it took me ~3 years to finish it, though it still needs some adjustments). Usually my fps is no more then "8-10" during the mission. It does - it's almost impossible to play this mission at least on my PC, but author managed to make a video! Amazing!
Also I noted he didn't use the feature "highlighted targets", which a very brave and hard decision. Bravo! He may relay only on his eyes, Commander's hints and his intuition, coz he never know - did he destroy tank or not, until it'll be in fire. Though, he is using a simple targeting. I mean mouse instead keyboard, which is more easy. Keyboard targeting is more challenging. Anyway, this is a great video and his position to repel the Soviet attack is a very well organized. But he should have been changed his position. In the game AI is mostly stupid, but somehow he feels where the user are and moves into user's direction. So, u should pay more attention to er position. I hope to see the other video-missions under his hands.

If you want to hear what the Flak 36 might have sounded like in real life here's a sample:

the second one is a pak40,model 1943 doing live firing. Although the intro is a bit lengthy it's worth the wait.

    Here's another one shorter:

I've found this video, 2009, "steel fury NAVIGATOR". NAVIGATOR is a game magazine. There is interview with Vladimir Zayarniy and Sergey Yashin abt. Steel Fury production. It is in russian, unfortunately no translation. There are fragments from the very early alpha version.

I came from the Japanese wiki page. They seem to need some hands on English translation on modding guides, so I thought I'd pay a visit. Then found my video here.
OK, I see. Japanese wiki page is the BEST site devoted to SF, which I've ever seen!

Destroy the Fatherland mission running at 35-44 FPS - The Art of the Possible!!

Post by minimi66 on Mon Mar 07, 2016 10:54 am

    Hi tankers,

Lockie asked me to post this video of the mission "Destroy the Fatherland" running at 35-44 FPS on my beast of a PC!!  Unfortunately the frame rate is not visible in the video as it was taken from Shadow Play and for some reason it was showing while i played the mission but didn't show up in the finished recording?  I will be posting some more videos soon to show what SF:K42 can look like on a newer system with everything maxed out and all graphical tweaks applied etc.  This time the FPS from the game setup menu will be enabled so you can see how it performs.

    Enjoy!

    My PC Spec:

    Asus Republic of Gamers G20AJ
    i7 4790 CPU @ 3.6 GHz (4.0 GHz @ Turbo boost)
    8 GB RAM
    GeForce GTX 980 4GB (non-over-clocked)
    128 GB SSD
    2 TB HDD
    Samsung UEJ435500 43" SMART TV (1920 x 1080 @ 60 Hz)
    All games installed to HDD

Looks pretty cool too, about the size of an Xbox One console and is completely silent:

Retrofly, why aren't you adjusting for distance to the target using the grading on the reticle?
