frinik wrote:Very good vid! I liked your JS-2 kill at 10 o'clock from a distance of over 1000 metres early on in the attack.

Just one thing; you might consider disenabling the autumn mod so the vegetation looks more like July.

I love your 1.3 and 1.5 mods.I use them in most of my installations. However I am not using your tech_cfg. I think you've made the German armour too strong .Not a criticism, just my own taste.

Thanks, my gunnery has gotten better using the sight correctly. Still can't get the mouse wheel to raise/lower the gun fast enough, though. I tried increasing the number of lines per spin, but that really didn't help.

The latest 1.5 has the original STA 1.0 tech_cfg. I am still finding files I modified, such as sound files, music, common_res, smoke effects, etc, that I'm trying to restore to original, so everybody can tweak it their way. I played around with it and agree somewhat about the German armor being too strong. I had thought it was too weak when a simple hit from a T-34/76 would cause spalling, killing the tank, and I didn't think that was realistic.....maybe from a JS-2, but not the /76.

I can't remember what weather mod is there, autumn, I guess? I thought the grass looked more realistic being brown in July, but obviously the trees don't turn that early.

Excellent video Kurt. Just a little correction; in German Hauptmann ( Captain) ends with double n.

Impressive marksmanship with your Stug!!!!! BTW using your Expanded Units 1.3 mod ( minus the tech_cfg) with STA 3.2 and it works very well. Great work!

Also you should try to use different gun sounds for the KwK40 and the KwK42 for more realism. I have good sounds I can email you if you want?

    Cheers.

    Oopps, I knew that, lol!

frinik wrote:Impressive marksmanship with your Stug!!!!!
Thanks! I finally use the sight correctly, and the up/down scroll wheel works perfectly with the StuG sight. I would have made an excellent gunner in WW2!

Thanks, I took out the tweaks I did (which I also toned down a bit) and have another expanded version (1.9) available. I will try and send it out to the forum soon.

That would be great. I hunted for sounds and that was the best I could do. I really would like corrected gun sounds for all the vehicles. I took the sound for the MG42, MG34, SG43, etc. off of YouTube, but am still not happy with the MG42. It had such a dominant sound on the battlefield...it's difficult to match. What did you think of the MG42 sound in the Jagdpanzer IV video?

BTW, what did you think of the new winter skins for all the vehicles?

    Your MG42 sound is excellent!

Impatient to try your 1.9 expanded units version!

I'll email you my shot sounds but in 2 emails because of the size 34 mbs and Yahoomail limits files to 25 mbs at a time. PM me your email I have it in my system but just in case.

It is glacier-fed and cold much of the year, but it nice in the summer when it warms up a bit. Fishing....yes, big lake trout!
