    Newb - needing help

Post by javelina on Wed Nov 26, 2014 11:33 pm

    Sorry for the newb questions.

I'm losing my mind. I have SF setup with the default keyboard commands. Yet, when the Tank Commander (F3), I cannot get the turret to turn left or right. I'm using the keyboard left & right arrow keys. (I do not have joystick enabled). Any suggestions?

Also, when my tank commander buttons up, how do I get him to stand back up? To be exposed again. I do have his hatch open.

    TIA,

    -Jav

I was wondering if it was possible to unload a shell if the wrong shell was loaded, and also wondering why My driver won't do what I say after tracks are knocked off even with the always obey orders is checked.

Unload by firing. Smile That may have been what they did in real life. I don't know but it seems easier and safer than extracting a shell from the breech.

Always obey orders applies only to the other tanks in your platoon, not to your crew. It seems that when a track is off that the ai driver will attempt to move the tank but of course it will only turn in a circle because of the missing track.
Just wait a few minutes and the crew will repair the track and you'll be on your way.

Whenever I have a difficult driving situation (crossing a river or a bridge or seeking cover) I take over the driving myself.

T,Y will move the commander's periscope. Page up/down move his view from view port to view port around the turret.

The keyboard arrow keys are the electrical drive for the turret (only functions when in gunner's position). Also moving the mouse left and right traverses the turret when you are in the gunner's seat.

Thanks but I mean after my track is repaired, when the crew is back in the tank an everything is good to go, the only way I can move my tank is if I take over the driver position and do it myself. I can't be the gunner and tell my driver what do do cause nothing happens. I get this problem every time I'm tracked.
