    'Steel Fury COMMANDER'...a mod idea for a more immersive, cumulative SF career

    How cool would it be to have the ability to create a more immersive, cumulative and dynamic SF career?  I don't have the tech skills to even tackle a project like this, but for someone here who DOES...and for anyone out there who is also an enthusiastic WW II sub simmer (especially any Silent Hunter III GWX modders) you may be aware of an awesome JoneSoft tool called SH3 Commander.  In a nutshell:

    It extends Silent Hunter III by giving your Commander a true identity. SH3 Commander builds a full profile of your Commander, including date and place of birth, enlistment date, promotion dates, and other key attributes, which are all including in the Personnel File feature. The program contains an executable file and a number of folders. The executable file accesses these folders based on the data from the career chosen, or details entered, via the SH3 Commander user interface.

    It may not be the work but simply it's not possible to implement in SF?

    It's possible if somebody crack the game and write the simple GUI (Graphical user interface). In this way we may choose a personage, assign a name and rank to him. Though I may say, in case if we would get a source code - it won't be easy deal.
    At this moment we may see the statistics: shots, kills, wounds, reprimands, medals etc, but it was made in a very weak manner. And I've to say that a main hero is a tank, but not Commander, because of his poor implementation.
